Venous leg ulcer Granulation tissue needs to build up to fill the defect and to support epithelial cell migration. .	Venous leg ulcer After 5 weeks granulation tissue has formed most notably in the left part of the wound. Cleansing was further supported by gentle cleansing of the wound with saline soaked compresses at each dressing change.
